Meet Jeni

Hello, and welcome to my site. I am so glad to have you visit!

Growing up, family has always been important to me. My paternal grandmother introduced me to photography when I was young and I was hooked! She always had her camera and would snap pictures of every day things. She was so excited when she won some ribbons at the 4H county fair! We would pour over her photo albums and reminisce while I visited her. She had such an eye for making the mundane extraordinary. I am so thankful for all of the pictures she took over the years.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and I still can't believe how we were lucky enough to meet when we did.  We now have two beautiful teenage children that I am so proud of. Throughout their lives, I have always had a camera in front of their faces, taking endless amounts of pictures. When they were little, if they saw my tripod out, they would stand in front of it and say "Chee" even if the camera wasn't there.

Capturing memories has always been a passion of mine and I decided to create a photography business on the side in 1997.  Since I was working full-time, I ended up fitting portrait sessions in on the weekends and after work. Once my kids came along, I focused most of my energy on raising them and working full-time. My photography remained a creative outlet for me and a stress reliever. I enjoyed honing my craft and seeing people's expressions when they saw what I was able to capture.

After spending over 20+ years climbing the corporate ladder, I had an unbelievable opportunity to take a break. As I contemplated continuing the corporate grind, I realized I wanted more...more fun, more passion, more connections with others and more balance in my life to enjoy life. I took some time and spent it with my family and focused on improving my health. My passion around photography and helping others capture their beautiful gifts of life is what has motivated me to pursue this full-time.

Take a look around and let me know if you have any questions. I am excited about this journey and look forward to connecting with you.

"Find something you love to do, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
